STABILIZATION OF SUBSOIL UNDER THE FOUNDATION FOOTING OF THE EXISTING BUILDING “B” AT WINCENTEGO POLA STREET IN KATOWICE.
INVESTMENT:
Reconstruction, superstructure, renovation and change of use of existing buildings
Silesian Freedom and Solidarity Center and construction of a new segment at Wincentego Pola Street
38 in Katowice along with landscaping, retaining walls, small architecture and
technical infrastructure.
OBJECTIVE:
Stabilization of the ground using polymer injection technology. The goal was to perform
protection of the soil under the foundation, so that there was no displacement towards the
excavation, it was decided to perform additional protection in the form of anchoring the
surface steel mesh to the level of the bottom of the excavation. The mesh was additionally glued to the
soil with 2k PUR HF resin. In addition, an additional application of resin was made behind the mesh in order to
glue the soil together and to prevent backfilling.

EXECUTION OF WORK:
▪ Installing equipment,
▪ Delineating in the field the locations of the injection holes in accordance with the Design Documentation,
▪ Performing drilling through the foundation structure to the specified depth,
▪ Performing polymer injection,
▪ Performing additional protection of the excavation wall with steel mesh from the outside.
EXECUTION OF STABILIZATION AND LEVELING OF ELEMENTS OF SLOTTED LINEAR DRAINAGE AT PARKING STAND 704 AT WARSAW OKĘCIE AIRPORT.
OBJECTIVE:
Polymer injection soil stabilization. Stabilization and strengthening of
of the subsoil and leveling of the collapsed linear drainage element on the apron of the
PLL Okęcie airport in the area of stand no. 704.
MATERIAL:

STABILIZATION AND LEVELING OF CONCRETE SLABS ON A4 HIGHWAY

Repairs to the concrete pavement of the A4 freeway on the section Krzyżowa – Krzywa and in the area of the interchange

OBJECTIVE:
To reinforce the ground and level (raise) the sunken slabs to achieve the
desired longitudinal evenness of the pavement. The purpose of the injection was to stabilize the subsoil
by compacting and scaling it with the injection material, improving bearing and strength parameters
strength, stabilizing the foundation of the facility.

▪ Delineation of the grid of injection holes, spacing of points every 0.6 - 0.8 m;
▪ Drilling of injection holes with a diameter of 18 mm through the pavement;
▪ Embedding the injection lances in the aforementioned holes to a depth of 120 -140 cm;
▪ Preparing and checking equipment, performing material test;
▪ Performing low-pressure injection with high-speed structural resin;
▪ Removal of lances, cleanup work.
